Huckleberries

Huckleberries are cleaned prior to delivery. They are a fragile item and are subject to damage; not all will be whole. Best used for baking pies.

Refrigerate or freeze your berries as soon as you receive them. They will last 3 to 4 days in the fridge.

Freeze dried huckleberries have a shelf life of several years.

Nathaniel and I harvest our huckleberries from deep in the wilderness which makes it difficult to offload them to the fresh market. The market area for fresh huckleberries is quite small unfortunately. If you reside near the following residential areas, we are able to fresh deliver during the month of August.

Terrace

Prince George

Fort St. John

Large orders of 100 lbs or more can be flown out from Terrace, Prince George and Fort St. John, BC. Please contact us for more information.

Huckleberry Jam
from CA$0.00

This is our last batch of huckleberry jam!

High in the mountain air, where the wildflowers bloom and the bears roam, my son and I spend our summer days gathering huckleberries. It’s slow, peaceful work — and every berry we pick carries a memory of laughter, sunshine, and the quiet beauty of the wilderness.

Our Wild Huckleberry Jam is made in small batches from those same mountain berries, simmered gently with pure ingredients to preserve their bright, tangy sweetness. Each jar is a reflection of the land we love and the moments we’ve shared while foraging together.

Spread it on toast, biscuits, or pancakes, and taste the mountains — wild, pure, and full of heart.

Handpicked in the wild. Crafted with care. Shared from our family to yours.

May contain trace amounts of wild blueberry and gooseberry.

Refrigerate after opening.

Berries harvested: August & September 2025

Jam processed: April 28, 2026

Sample size is free except for delivery (quantity of one only or your order will be cancelled) - Fort St. John area only - No shipping provided.

Taste the Wild, One Spoonful at a Time 💜
Handcrafted in small batches, our Huckleberry Jam captures the sweet-tart magic of wild northern berries — picked by hand and simmered slow for that cozy, homemade flavor. Spread it on toast, swirl it into yogurt, or enjoy it straight from the jar (we won’t tell 😉).

The process of cleaning Hucklerries and Blueberries

Once the berries have been picked, they need to be cleaned immediately. This involves running the fresh berries down ramps with strong fans blowing upwards below the ramp to blow away most of the leaves that have been acquired from walking in dense bush all day. Then most stems and ghost berries (green berries) need to be removed. During the huckleberry and blueberry season, half our days are spent harvesting, and the other half is spent cleaning the berries. It’s a slow process.
